Deferment of fees shall be allowed subject to the following conditions:

  1. A formal application shall be made by the student for deferment of examination fees to the subsequent sitting.
  2. Deferment of fees is not automatic and shall only be allowed on the basis of medical reasons, change of work station or similar extraneous circumstances as approved by the Secretary and Chief Executive.
  3. All relevant evidence should be attached to the application letter. Applications received without any evidence attached SHALL NOT be considered.
  4. A student shall be allowed to defer fees to the subsequent sitting only once in any particular level or section. The full amount of deferred fees not utilised in the subsequent sitting shall be forfeited to KASNEB.
  5. An administrative charge equivalent to 15% of the applicable examination fees shall be levied as a precondition for the deferment of the examination fees.
  6. An application for deferment together with the supporting evidence must be received at least thirty (30) days before the commencement date of the examination, except for medical reasons.

    My name is Faith and i am supposed to sit for December examination but Unfortunately the examinations dates are colliding with my University examinations dates. Is it too late to defer and if not how will i go about it?. Secondly, will all the amount be transferred to subsequent sitting or i will have to top up?

    1. Hi, Not being ready for exam on the basis of joining classes late is not enough reason to be allowed to deffer section 2 to may sitting

    1. You can register with the Diploma you are a holder of But regarding exemption on KASNEB can give feedback on which units you will be exempted from. Deadline for CPA November registration and examination entry is on September 30th

  5. What happens if a student fails to appear for some papers due to an emergency that got him held up that date of exam though he didn’t intend to miss/be absent

    1. She can do her exams in November sitting all she will require to do is to provide documents proving supporting her case. This will be possible even after exams

  12. Hi, Admin I booked my exam sitting for November at KCA Kisumu then I was affected by the political wrangles and I had to shift from ksm. Message:My registration no. is NAC/281886,l deferred my May exams until November. l enquired how much l am required to pay to be allowed to sit for my November exams and was told l am supposed to pay 50%of the exam fee. l was also told that l was required to fill a deferment form and sent it back with a bank slip of the paid amount. l was informed that the form was sent through poster but l have not received it. What should l do as the deadline of paying is nearing and the money will not be accepted without the form?

      1. I visited kasneb at gpo and got information that should talk to the secretary general about deferment.
